Peregrine Falcon - Pixel Art Animation

I made this animation for a school project. For the project I researched the 12 core principles of animation, and applied a few of them in this animation of a peregrine falcon. For the project I created 2 animations: one before research and one after, so I could compare them and see how much I've improved.
I learned a lot from it, especially when it came to anticipation, timing and arcs. There is still a lot I could improve on (for example giving the illusion of weight to the bird).

Because I had some time left, I colored the bird to look more like a peregrine falcon. I kept the coloring very simple so it wasn't too hard to animate and would still be readable.

This was the pre-research animation.

This is the edited animation I made after getting feedback and researching the animation principles.
